Abstract
It is well known that the agricultural areas cultivated with rapeseed have significantly increased in recent years in Romania. Although rapeseed cultivation presents many challenges for farmers, it brings substantial yield gains and has wide applications in industry, particularly for the production of rapeseed oil. In order to achieve satisfactory yields, it is not only necessary to use a high-yield hybrid but also to implement and apply a cultivation technology that ensures significant productivity increases. One important aspect that growers must consider is applied agrotechnics and the scheme of agricultural machinery. To this, during the experimental years 2022 2023, the impact of two soil tillage systems on the vegetative growth and development of rapeseed plants was studied on experimental plots near the town of Ungheni and the commune of Grebenișu de Câmpie (Mureș County, Romania). The two soil tillage systems analyzed were conventional tillage using the plough and minimum tillage using a complex machine aggregate. The impact of these tillage systems on root growth and development, plant height and the number of siliques per plant was studied. The minimum tillage system had a significantly positive impact on these parameters, while the conventional tillage system did not result in significant differences.
